D1 Z80 Backplane

     The 1731 Z80 5 Slot Backplane allows the 1730 Z80 CPU to be connected with other components such as the 1740 Serial COMM/Timer, 1732 Z80 Proto Board, 1733x Signal Watcher and the bolt on 1734x LCD card.  Card to card spacing is 0.750" to allow for tall components such as connectors and their cables.

     The backplane can distribute power from any of the plugged in cards to the rest of the system or may be powered from and external 5.5x2.5mm DC plug in the range of 7 to 35V, supplying 5VDC at up to 2A. The DC input is also reverse polarity protected.

Features:

• 5 slots wired in parallel
• Ultra low capacitance signal lines
• Full ground plane on top of board and full 5V plane on the bottom with the bus connections sandwiched in between.
• Reset button that is in  parallel with reset button on CPU card.
• Power from any card can power the whole system or power can be supplied by the external DC input...
• 7 to 35V DC input via 5.5x2.5mm center positive jack.
• Input reverse polarity protected.
• When connected to DC supply, provides 5V at up to 2A.
• 0.750" center to center card spacing.
• Stand offs under each card to prevent flexing during insertion.
• Signals on slot 2 are labeled to aid in signal probing... You can also slip a 1735 Z80 Label Board onto any connector to help identify signals.
