Description: USB to fiber optic serial interface using an FT232RL converter and Broadcom transceivers.
- USB powered with USB-B interface connector.
- Full duplex operation.
- 115200 baud rate at 100M using 1mm duplex plastic optical fiber.
- Longer runs possible at lower baud rates.
- Higher baud rates possible for shorter runs (Up to 500kbps).
- Fiber cables are polarized and snap securely in place with optional latches.
- Transmitter only powered when transmitting.
- All units tested at 460.8kbps with 20m loopback

Good Product
The product is good quality and works fine. The maximum baud-rate which I achieved was 230400 with 1m optical fiber using two of these devices. It's a very good product for that price! Even got an optical cable for free in addition to the two modules I bought.
