Description
The 1749 is an 4 channel 2.5 to 21 volt full bridge driver that is controlled from an 8 bit parallel data bus using a 74HC573 transparent latch which allows the outputs to all be updated at the same time. When the OE# signal is high all outputs are High-Z (The OE# signal is pulled high on board). When LE is high (Pulled down on board) the outputs follow the inputs and when low the previous state is retained. The bridge outputs operate in four modes for each data pair, D0/1, D2/3 etc: High-Z, Forward, Reverse and Braking where both outputs are clamped to 0V.
Switch dead time is 100nS typical to prevent cross conduction during state change.
The data latch is powered by a regulator off of Vin that tracks Vin up to 3.3V. While powered from 2.5 to 3.3V, the inputs are tolerant to 5.5V.
The 1749 has a 0.100" pin pitch with a 0.500" row to row spacing allowing 3 breadboard rows to be used above and below the module.
